Berlin police dismantle drug ring after arresting five men in Kreuzberg raid
Five men have been arrested in Berlin's Kreuzberg district on suspicion of commercial drug trafficking. The operation, carried out by local and specialist police units, led to the seizure of drugs, cash, and weapons. Investigators believe the group used two apartments in Neukölln as bases for their activities.
The arrests took place after a coordinated raid by Regional Division 52-53 and a criminal investigation squad. Officers detained three men aged 25, 30, and 31, along with two others whose ages were not disclosed. During the operation, police searched properties on Weichselstraße and Boddinstraße in Neukölln, uncovering evidence of drug storage and distribution.
One suspect was found carrying 40 tablets and around 70 individual doses of suspected narcotics. Further searches turned up cocaine, ketamine, and LSD, alongside mobile phones, several thousand euros in cash, and a machete. The items were confiscated for further examination.
Authorities have not linked this case to any broader drug trafficking networks in Berlin. No additional details about the suspects' operations or potential connections to other criminal activities have been released.
The five men remain in custody while investigations continue. Police have not yet confirmed whether charges will be filed or if further arrests are expected. The seized evidence, including drugs and cash, will be analysed as part of the ongoing case.
