Berlin police are appealing for public help to identify a suspect in a hotel robbery. The incident took place in the early hours of Saturday, October 25, 2025, at a hotel on Fischerinsel in Mitte. Authorities have released images of the man and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
The robbery occurred at around 4:20 a.m. at Fischerinsel 12. The suspect entered the hotel through the main entrance and approached the reception desk. He brandished a knife, demanded cash from staff, and fled with the money on foot.
After leaving the hotel, the man ran to Fischerinsel 1, where he got into a taxi and escaped. Police are now asking witnesses who saw the robbery or the suspect’s getaway to provide details. Anyone who recognises the man in the released images or knows his whereabouts can contact Police Directorate 5 (City) at Friesenstraße 16 in Kreuzberg. Tips can also be submitted by phone, email at [email protected], or through any local police station. An online reporting system is available as well.
The investigation remains ongoing, with police relying on public assistance to track down the suspect. Witnesses who saw the man at the hotel, during his escape, or in the taxi are being asked to share what they know. All information provided will be treated confidentially.
