Berlin police hunt suspect after New Year’s pyrotechnic attack injures man

The incident occurred around 1 AM on January 1, 2024, at the Warschauer Straße station. According to police, the suspect ignited a pyrotechnic device near the victim, causing significant injury. The 43-year-old sustained lasting hearing loss in one ear as a result.
Footage from the station’s cameras, logged under case number 2355, shows the suspect’s movements and appearance.
