Berlin police hunt suspects after attempted car arson near Moabit Prison
Berlin police are searching for two men suspected of attempting to set a car alight in Moabit. The incident took place on 15 May 2023, near the intersection of Alt-Moabit and Spenerstraße. Investigators have now released photos of the suspects in a public appeal for help identifying them.
The attack happened close to Moabit Prison, where the two men were disturbed while trying to ignite a vehicle. Police believe witnesses or members of the public may recognise the individuals in the published images.
The investigation remains ongoing as police seek leads on the two men. Members of the public who recognise the suspects or have relevant information are encouraged to contact authorities immediately. The appeal follows two separate but possibly related car fires in the same area within 24 hours.
