Berlin Police Seek Suspect in U-Bahn Robbery Attempt
Berlin police are appealing for help in identifying a suspect involved in an attempted robbery at the U-Bahnhof Märkisches Museum bus stop in Mitte on July 30, 2024. The suspect, who remains at large, attempted to snatch a chain from a 36-year-old man's neck, causing minor injuries. Police have released a photo of the suspect and are seeking information regarding case number 0314.
The incident occurred around 3 p.m. when the suspect approached the victim at the bus stop. He attempted to snatch the chain and also tried to trip the victim. The victim's resistance and shouts caused the suspect to flee without successfully taking the chain. Police are urging witnesses or anyone with information to contact the specialized unit at Police Directorate 5 in Kreuzberg. Despite their efforts, police have not yet identified the suspect and are seeking the public's assistance.
The suspect is still at large, and police are seeking help to identify him. Anyone with information is urged to contact the authorities. The victim sustained minor injuries but was otherwise unharmed. Police have released a photo of the suspect and are treating the case as attempted robbery (Case No. 0314).
