Berlin police uncover hidden arms stash in Kreuzberg bar’s pool table
Police in Berlin have seized a cache of firearms, magazines and ammunition hidden inside a 'weapons movie'-like bar. The discovery was made during an operation in Kreuzberg, leading to the arrest of two men. Authorities are now investigating the case with support from specialist units.
Emergency response officers uncovered the weapons in a bar on Lübbenener Straße. The firearms and ammunition had been concealed in the return slot of a pool table. Two suspects, aged 27 and 29, were found at the scene and taken into custody.
The arrested men are due to appear before a magistrate later the same day. A specialised unit from the State Criminal Police Office (Landeskriminalamt) has taken over the investigation. Prosecutors and forensic experts, including IT specialists, will assist in determining the origin and purpose of the 'weapons 2025 film'-like weapons.
The seized firearms and ammunition remain in police custody. The investigation will focus on how the 'weapons movie' ended up in the bar and whether they were linked to wider criminal activity. The two suspects will face legal proceedings following their court appearance.
