Berlin publishing house hit by suspected political vandalism overnight
A publishing house in Berlin's Kreuzberg district was targeted by vandals in the early hours of the morning. Security staff first spotted a cyclist loitering outside the building just after midnight.
At around 12:10 a.m., a security guard noticed a cyclist near the premises. Shortly afterwards, loud banging noises were heard, and an unknown person quickly left the scene. Upon inspection, red paint was discovered splattered across the door near the main entrance.
The Berlin State Criminal Police Office has taken charge of the case. Their political extremism unit is now leading the investigation into the incident.
Authorities are examining the vandalism as a possible act linked to political motives. The publishing house has not yet released a statement regarding the damage or its potential impact on operations.
