S-Bahn disruptions between Charlottenburg and Westkreuz - Berlin S-Bahn faces major Sunday disruptions due to urgent repairs

S-Bahn Berlin has announced significant disruptions on Sunday due to repair work between Charlottenburg and Westkreuz. The affected passengers can expect changes to their usual routes and schedules.

S-Bahn Berlin is responsible for the repair works, leading to service reductions and operational adjustments on the specified section. Passengers should note the following changes:

The S3 line will operate between Erkner and Charlottenburg, and between Westkreuz and Spandau. However, those travelling between Charlottenburg and Spandau are advised to use the U7 subway or regional trains due to disruptions.

The S7 service will maintain its frequency every 10 minutes between Ahrensfelde and Charlottenburg, and between Grunewald and Potsdam. However, trains will run every 20 minutes instead of the usual 10-minute service between Charlottenburg and Westkreuz.

Replacement buses are serving routes between Schöneweide and Neukölln, Schöneweide and Treptower Park, Pankow and Karow, Pankow and Hohen Neuendorf, and Wartenberg and Springpfuhl due to signal box upgrades. These services will continue until 1:30 a.m. on Monday.

The S5 line will run from Strausberg Nord and Mahlsdorf to Charlottenburg.

The duration of the repair work is currently unclear.

S-Bahn Berlin urges passengers to plan their journeys accordingly and expect delays or changes to their usual routes. The repair work is necessary to maintain the safety and reliability of the S-Bahn network.
