No regular S-Bahn service on some sections - Berlin S-Bahn Services Disrupted Monday Night for Maintenance
Berlin's S-Bahn services face disruptions this week due to maintenance work. Several lines will have reduced or no service between Monday 10:00 PM and Tuesday 1:30 AM, with alternative transport arrangements in place.
The affected lines include S3, S5, S7, and S9 between Friedrichstraße and Zoologischer Garten, and S8 between Blankenburg and Birkenwerder. Deutsche Bahn, along with various construction consortia and local authorities, are involved in the maintenance work. Passengers are advised to use barrier-free buses as replacements for the S46 line disruption between Königs Wusterhausen and Wildau until October 13. Additionally, the S1 will run every 20 minutes with the S25, with the route diverted due to switch maintenance in Waidmannslust. During the S8 disruption, passengers are advised to use the diverted S1 between Blankenburg and Birkenwerder.
These temporary closures and diversions are necessary to ensure the safety and reliability of Berlin's S-Bahn network. Passengers are urged to plan their journeys accordingly and make use of the alternative transport options provided.
