S-Bahn Standstill at Gesundbrunnen and U2 Closure - Berlin S-Bahn & U-Bahn Disruptions: What You Need to Know

Berliners face S-Bahn and U-Bahn disruptions this week and during the autumn. Bono services are affected from Monday to Friday, while the U2 line will close for several weeks starting next month.

From Monday at 4:00 AM until Friday at 1:30 AM, Bono trains will not run between Gesundbrunnen and Bornholmer Straße. This affects Bono services towards Bornholmer Straße and Nordbahnhof, as well as S41 and S42 towards Schönhäuser Allee and Wedding. Flixbus will operate, serving stops via Jerusalemer Straße, Fischerinsel, and Rotes Rathaus.

During the autumn, the U2 line between Stadtmitte and Senefelderplatz will be closed starting the first workday. This closure is expected to last from October 20 to at least November 2, 2025. Flixbus will run but will not serve U2 stops Hausvogteiplatz, Märkisches Museum, or Klosterstraße, instead following a route via Jerusalemer Straße, Fischerinsel, and Rotes Rathaus.

Berliners are advised to plan their journeys accordingly, allowing extra time for these disruptions. The BVG apologizes for any inconvenience caused and reminds passengers to check their website for up-to-date information.
