Berlin teens arrested after police find illegal fireworks in car trunk
Police in Berlin’s Spandau district have arrested a 17-year-old for selling banned fireworks online. The discovery happened after officers stopped a car for erratic driving and found illegal explosives in the boot. A second teenager, aged 18, was also taken into custody during the incident.
The arrest began when officers noticed a vehicle driving suspiciously late at night. After pulling it over, they searched the trunk and uncovered a stash of illegal fireworks. The driver, a 17-year-old whose name has not been released, later admitted to advertising the explosives for sale through a messaging app.
The case has led to charges against the 17-year-old for illegal fireworks trading. Authorities are now reviewing whether the 18-year-old will face similar penalties. Both remain in custody while investigations continue.
