Robbery of Cash Transporter - Trial Against Four Men - Berlin trial begins for €2 million cash-in-transit heist suspects
Four men will face trial on Monday for a violent cash-in-transit robbery in Berlin. The armed heist took place in March 2025, when assailants ambushed a van and stole over €2 million. Their trial at Berlin Regional Court is set to last 23 days.
The robbery unfolded on an industrial site in Berlin-Neukölln. Gunmen opened fire on a cash-in-transit van, striking its armoured cabin. Despite the shooting, the driver and guards escaped unharmed due to the vehicle’s reinforced protection. The attackers fled with 26 cash boxes containing more than €2 million.
Police quickly traced the getaway car, weapons, and stolen money. Investigators arrested the four suspects—aged 21 to 26—around two months later. Since then, they have remained in pretrial detention.
The defendants now face charges of attempted murder and aggravated robbery. Proceedings begin at 9:15 AM on Monday at the Berliner Landessiedlung court. The trial is expected to conclude on May 11.
The case centres on the violent ambush of a cash van and the theft of millions. All four accused have been held in custody since their arrests. A verdict will determine their involvement in the crime and its consequences.
