Berlin unveils bold tourism campaigns at ITB's 60th anniversary show
Berlin and Brandenburg are set to showcase their latest tourism news at ITB Berlin from 3 to 5 March 2026. The event marks the 60th anniversary of the world's largest travel trade show, with local officials highlighting key attractions and initiatives. A new stand design and a packed programme will greet visitors at this year's exhibition.
The city's tourism board, visitBerlin, will use the platform to promote two major campaigns. Crafted in Berlin will put local artisans in the spotlight, featuring products from workshops across the capital. Three new artisan routes have been curated especially for the event.
Another focus will be Travel for All, an initiative aimed at making tourism more accessible. The programme offers detailed information on barrier-free travel options in Berlin, ensuring visitors with disabilities can explore the city with ease.
Berlin's stand will also showcase cultural highlights for 2026. These include Cirque du Soleil's Alizé performance, the Friedrichstadt-Palast's Blinded by Delight show, and a series of major art exhibitions. Meanwhile, the Pergamon Museum is preparing for a partial reopening in spring 2027, where the restored Pergamon Altar will take centre stage.
Burkhard Kieker, CEO of visitBerlin, praised ITB's six decades of influence on the city's tourism news sector. His co-CEO, Sabine Wendt, emphasised the importance of the two new initiatives in shaping Berlin's future as a welcoming and creative destination.
The 60th ITB Berlin will run from 3 to 5 March 2026, offering a first look at the city's refreshed stand and upcoming attractions. Visitors can expect updates on accessible travel, local craftsmanship, and major cultural events. The trade show continues to play a key role in positioning Berlin as a leading global destination.
