Berlinovo, BS Immobilienentwicklung GmbH to Build 82 Barrier-Free Apartments in Spandau's Kladow District
Berlinovo and BS Immobilienentwicklung GmbH are jointly developing 82 rental apartments in Spandau's Kladow district, with a completion date set for autumn 2024. The project includes barrier-free senior apartments and employee housing, with a total investment of around €19 million.
The development, located at Christoph-Kolumbus Street, consists of 41 senior apartments, including 5 wheelchair-accessible ones, spread across two residential buildings. Additionally, another 41 apartments will be created for employees of state-owned companies in three other buildings.
Berlinovo aims to significantly expand its senior housing portfolio to 2,400 units by 2033, investing €535 million. The number of employee apartments is also set to increase by 2,100 residential units, with investment costs over €380 million. Finance Senator Stefan Evers (CDU) sees employee housing as a key factor in attracting talent to the city.
A topping-out ceremony has been held for the Christoph-Kolumbus Street project. The apartments will feature a barrier-free community area with a kitchen and terrace.
The joint project by berlinovo and BS Immobilienentwicklung GmbH is expected to provide much-needed housing options for seniors and employees in the Kladow district. Upon completion in autumn 2024, the apartments will offer modern, barrier-free living spaces, contributing to Berlin's housing landscape.
