Berlin's Blumberger Damm Bridge Reopens After 4.5-Year Renovation
Berlin's southern Blumberger Damm Bridge has been fully renovated and reopened to traffic. The project management, completed after nearly 4.5 years, features new lanes, modern bus stops, renewed cables, and safe cycling facilities on both sides.
The bridge's replacement was necessary due to the poor condition of the previous structure. The new construction, details of which are not yet specified, was overseen by the Berlin Transport Senate and related authorities. The bridge serves as a vital link to the Berlin Accident Hospital and an important north-south connection.
Ute Bonde, the Senator for Mobility, Transport, Climate Protection and the Environment, praised the project management for its successful collaboration and adherence to construction time and budget.
The southern Blumberger Damm Bridge in Berlin-Marzahn is now open, boasting improved infrastructure and safety features. The project's successful completion reflects the city's commitment to modernizing its transport network.
