Berlin’s EDGE Friedrichspark Rises as a Model of Urban Sustainability
The EDGE Friedrichspark construction project in Berlin-Friedrichshain is taking shape, with the first façade elements now in place. This ambitious development, led by EDGE Technologies in collaboration with GRAFT architecture firm, aims to set new standards in energy efficiency and urban climate resilience.
The project, situated on a 14,000-square-meter plot east of Berlin Ostbahnhof, is restructuring the site after the demolition of old buildings completed last summer. Upon completion, expected by the end of 2025, the office complex will offer around 36,500 square meters of usable space, including 84 parking spots and 500 bicycle parking spaces.
EDGE Friedrichspark is designed to meet the developer's sustainability standards. It will feature an ice storage system and photovoltaic panels, contributing to its goal of high energy efficiency. The project is scheduled for completion and occupancy by the first quarter of 2026.
The EDGE Friedrichspark project, developed by EDGE Technologies and GRAFT, is visibly progressing. With its focus on sustainability and energy efficiency, it promises to be a significant addition to Berlin's urban landscape, set to complete by early 2026.
