Berlin's floating venue redefines events on the Spree River
A unique venue for business and social events is now available on Berlin's waterways. The John Franklin seminar ship offers scenic cruises along the Spree River, Landwehr Canal, and nearby lakes. Organisers can book the vessel year-round for meetings, seminars, or celebrations with up to 40 guests aboard.
The ship provides a full range of amenities for professional gatherings. A Seminar Package costs €99 per person and includes ship rental, technical support, and catering. Guests receive beverages, lunch, a presentation screen, and high-speed Wi-Fi during their event.
For social occasions, a Party Package is available at €125 per person for three hours or €149 for four. This option covers an open bar, seasonal catering, lounge seating, and a sound system with ambient lighting. Buffet catering can also be arranged for both packages. The vessel's low clearance lets it pass under central Berlin's bridges, offering smooth access to key locations. It can cruise scenic routes to Lake Müritz, Schwerin, Szczecin, Bad Saarow, and Teupitz. For longer stays, 15 overnight cabins and restrooms support multi-day events. Technical equipment on board includes a PA system, presentation monitor, Wi-Fi, flip chart, and whiteboard. The preferred docking point is Alt-Moabit 91, 10559 Berlin, though the ship remains available for full-day charters throughout the year.
The John Franklin combines work and leisure against Berlin's waterfront backdrop. Companies can host productive seminars, while private groups enjoy themed parties on the same vessel. With flexible packages and year-round availability, the ship offers an alternative to traditional event spaces in the city.
