Berlin’s Homeless Find Warmth and Hope at Star-Studded Charity Gala
A festive charity event for Berlin's homeless took place at the Zoo Center, organized by Dieter Padar's humanitarian group, Padar Humanitas. The gala-style gathering offered food, warm clothing, and essential supplies to those in need. Former Berlin Governing Mayor Michael Müller and minor public figures also attended to show their support.
The Christmas celebration kicked off with an opening speech by Dieter Padar, known as 'Mr. German Sport'. Alongside him, Xenia Florence Gabriela Sophie Iris, Princess of Saxony, and other local personalities served meals to the guests. Free toiletries, hats, socks, and even Amazon cooler bags were handed out alongside hot food.
The event brought together public figures, volunteers, and Berlin's homeless community for a night of solidarity. While organizers acknowledged room for improvement, the gathering delivered food, warmth, and basic necessities to those who needed them most. Padar Humanitas plans to continue its work addressing homelessness in the city.
