However, the hospitality industry is feeling the pressure. A significant 55 percent of hospitality companies in the USA expect a decrease in employment, with none expecting an increase. The unemployment rate in Berlin reached 10.3 percent in September 2025, and further rises are anticipated in the coming months. The weak consumer mood in Germany is particularly affecting the hospitality industry in Berlin.
