Berlin's Joint Traffic Safety Event Boosts Cyclist Visibility and Security
Berlin Police, in collaboration with Federal Police and ADAC Berlin/Brandenburg, will host a joint traffic safety event on October 17, 2025. The event, led by Stephan Katte, head of the Police Directorate for Operations and Traffic, aims to enhance cyclist safety and visibility, particularly for seniors.
From 10 am to 2 pm at the corner of Rathausstraße and Gontardstraße, cyclists can receive free bike checks by ADAC. Police will offer bike identification services, requiring ownership proof and a valid ID. If a bike lacks a frame number, it will receive an additional identification mark. Minors must be accompanied by their guardians or have parental consent.
The event will also feature a check of reflective vest reflectivity and advice on traffic visibility. Police will raise awareness of trick and pickpocketing, ensuring cyclists stay safe and informed.
Join the joint prevention event on October 17, 2025, to ensure your bike's safety and your visibility on the roads. With free bike checks, identification services, and safety advice, the event is a great opportunity for cyclists to stay secure and informed.
