Berlin’s new swimming pool subscriptions ditch the Bädercard for flexible plans

Berlin’s public swimming pools are rolling out a new subscription system from February. The old Bädercard will no longer be available, replaced by three fresh options for regular swimmers. Each plan offers different levels of access and pricing.

The new model includes three tiers: Basic, Flex, and Plus. The Basic plan costs €30 per month and allows two visits per week to pools in categories 2 and 3. For those wanting more flexibility, the Flex plan provides unlimited swimming at all pools for €38 per month.

The top-tier Plus plan, priced at €70 per month, includes a guest pass. All subscriptions require a minimum commitment of three months and start on the first day of the month. Swimmers can also pause their membership for up to six consecutive months if needed.

The updated system removes the old annual Bädercard in favor of more adaptable choices. Subscribers can now pick a plan that fits their swimming habits, with options for limited visits, full access, or guest privileges. The changes take effect in February, offering clearer pricing and flexibility.
