Berlin’s Oktoberfest Kicks Off With Bavarian Flair and Family Fun
Berlin's largest Oktoberfest celebration is currently underway at the central fairground on Kurt-Schumacher-Damm. The event, organized by the Schaustellerverband Berlin e.V. since 1949, spans over 80,000 square meters and features a massive tent decorated in traditional Bavarian style.
The Original Paulaner tent, measuring 80 x 20 meters, serves as the heart of the festival. Here, visitors can indulge in Bavarian specialties such as pork knuckle, chicken, Leberkäse, pretzels, and radishes. The 'Berliner Wies'n' offers a wide range of attractions, including bumper cars, break dance, slides, the Seesturmbahn, children's carousels, raffles, claw machines, darts, ball throwing, and shooting galleries. Public transportation is convenient, with buses M21 and X21 stopping at 'Berlin, Zentraler Festplatz' and 'Aristide-Briand-Brücke'. Every Wednesday is Family Day, offering half-price admission to all carousels and rides.
The Berlin Oktoberfest, a beloved annual tradition, continues to draw locals and tourists alike. With its rich history, diverse attractions, and delicious food, it promises a memorable experience for all who attend.
