Berlin’s PANDION LVL UP brings 138 energy-efficient apartments to Hallesches Ufer

A new residential project called PANDION LVL UP is taking shape in Berlin’s Die Macherei district. Developer PANDION AG is leading the scheme, which will add 138 homes to the evolving Hallesches Ufer area. The building is set to become part of the larger transformation of this former industrial zone.

The project will rise at Hallesches Ufer 56-60A, a location with strong transport connections and easy access to nearby parks and city attractions. Designed by architects KSP Engel, the building aims to meet the KfW 55 energy efficiency standard, ensuring lower energy consumption.

Inside, the development will offer a mix of condominiums and micro-apartments. Around half of the 138 units will be barrier-free, while 72 will be compact one-room or micro flats. Every apartment will include private outdoor space, and residents can reach their homes directly from the underground garage via lifts.

PANDION LVL UP forms part of the wider Die Macherei district, where old industrial and commercial sites are being redeveloped into a modern urban neighbourhood. Completion of the residential building is expected by late 2028.

The new development will contribute to Berlin’s growing housing stock while supporting the city’s push for mixed-use, energy-efficient living. With its blend of micro-apartments and larger units, the project aims to cater to diverse residents in a well-connected part of Kreuzberg.
