Berlin’s Rüdickenstraße becomes a cyclist-friendly boulevard by 2026
Rüdickenstraße in Berlin’s Neu-Hohenschönhausen is being transformed into a bicycle boulevard. The project aims to enhance safety for cyclists and connect key routes in the district’s cycling network. Work has already started on the first phase of the upgrade.
The transformation will occur in two stages. The first phase covers the section between house numbers 8 and 29, with completion expected by December 12, 2025. The second phase will follow soon after, depending on weather conditions.
The bicycle boulevard will offer a safer route for cyclists in the area. Final touches, including road markings, will be completed by early 2026. The project is part of broader efforts to improve cycling infrastructure in Berlin.
