Berlin’s S-Bahn Ringbahn struggles with delays after weekend construction chaos

Berlin’s S-Bahn Ringbahn faced delays and cancellations on Monday morning after repair work disrupted services. The issues followed a weekend of extensive construction that closed multiple lines across the city. While most restrictions were lifted by early Monday, some passengers still encountered travel difficulties.

Over the weekend, construction on the S-Bahn led to closures in northern, southern, and eastern Berlin. These works caused knock-on effects into Monday, particularly on the S41 and S42 routes between Wedding and Gesundbrunnen.

By Monday morning, most restrictions from the weekend’s construction had been removed. The S47 line, however, stayed partially out of service, and lingering delays affected the Ringbahn network. Commuters were urged to check the BVG website or app for the latest updates on remaining disruptions.
