Berlin’s Upbeat Tower to Redefine Moabit’s Skyline with Glass and Green Design
A 85-metre office tower named Upbeat Berlin is set to rise in Berlin’s Moabit district. The project will sit at the northern edge of Europacity, near the busy Hauptbahnhof. Developers promise a modern design with glass façades and sweeping views of the surrounding area and harbour basin.
The tower is a joint effort between CA Immo and Deka Immobilien GmbH, the main developer behind the project. Architects Kleihues + Kleihues have designed a structure split into three sections of varying heights. Inside, around 31,000 square metres of rental space will be available, spread across floors with floor-to-ceiling windows. Rooftop terraces on the fifth and eleventh floors will offer additional outdoor areas for tenants.
The base of the building will feature an 800-square-metre lobby, complete with a public café and direct access to a dedicated first-floor level. Below ground, a two-level garage will provide 140 parking spaces, including 10 electric charging points and 23 accessible bays. Cyclists will also have 310 secure parking spots. Construction is expected to last roughly four and a half years. The project joins a wave of new developments transforming the area around Berlin Hauptbahnhof, reinforcing Europacity’s role as a growing business hub.
Once finished, Upbeat Berlin will add a striking glass-fronted tower to the city’s skyline. The building’s mix of office space, public amenities, and transport links aims to attract businesses and visitors alike. Work on the site is now underway, with completion planned in the coming years.
