Berlin’s Wittenau District Hit by Early Morning Power Outage

A power outage struck Berlin’s Wittenau district in the early hours of Tuesday morning, leaving parts of the area, including Wittenau S-Bahn station and Oranienburger Straße, without electricity. Stromnetz Berlin, the local grid operator, is currently handling the situation. The outage began before dawn, disrupting services and leaving residents in the dark. Authorities have not yet confirmed the cause of the failure. No specific substation or power plant linked to the incident has been named in official reports. The incident remains under investigation as crews work to restore power. Residents and travellers near Wittenau S-Bahn and Oranienburger Straße are advised to plan for possible inconveniences until the grid is fully operational again.
