Berlin’s Youth Media Workshop Opens Doors for Teen Political Voices
The 18th Youth Media Workshop is now accepting applications from teenagers aged 16 to 20. Running from October 16 to 20 in Berlin, the event focuses on political engagement and media skills. Organisers encourage young people from all backgrounds to take part before the July 30 deadline.
This year’s workshop centres on the theme of Political Participation of Young People. Participants will explore current political issues, meet lawmakers, and produce content for a digital publication. Unlike previous years, the final output will include audio, video, and social media elements instead of a traditional print format.
The workshop provides a platform for young people to develop media skills and discuss political participation. Successful applicants will join a digital prep session in September before the October workshop. Their work will contribute to an online dossier, replacing the previous print format.
