betahaus Hamburg Celebrates 15 Years of Growth and Expansion
betahaus Hamburg, a leading coworking space provider, marks its 15th anniversary this year. Since opening its doors in 2010 with a modest 250 sqm space, the company has expanded significantly, hosting numerous events and initiatives along the way.
betahaus Hamburg's journey began in 2010 with a 250 sqm space. It quickly grew, moving to Eifflerstraße in 2014, where it introduced a flat rate for coworking and occupied 1,400 sqm. In 2013, the company faced insolvency but used it as an opportunity to restart and grow.
The company's expansion continued with the opening of betahaus HafenCity in 2019, initially named finhaven. This was followed by the addition of over 2,000 sqm of space with the third branch in spring 2025. betahaus Hamburg also expanded its Schanze location to nearly 3,000 sqm during the pandemic, demonstrating its resilience even in challenging times. The pandemic in 2020 led to a temporary collapse of the event business but no layoffs.
betahaus Hamburg has hosted various events and initiatives, including the Next Media Accelerator (NMA). The company plans to open its fourth location, the Neues Amt in Altona, in 2026, with the betahaus team responsible for the coworking space.
From a small 250 sqm space in 2010 to planning a 3,000 sqm location in 2026, betahaus Hamburg's growth is a testament to its adaptability and commitment to the coworking community. As it celebrates its 15th anniversary, the company looks forward to continued expansion and success.
