Betzdorf's Criminal Investigation Division Welcomes New Leadership in 2026

A change in leadership is coming to the Betzdorf Criminal Investigation Division. On February 27, 2026, Police Counselor Jens Kugelmeier will take over as its new head. The event will also honour the outgoing leader, Senior Police Counselor Marcel Schneider, after years of service.

The inauguration ceremony will be held in the council chamber of the Betzdorf-Gebhardshain municipal administration. The venue, located at Hellerstr. 2, will host officials and guests for the formal handover.

Marcel Schneider has led the division for roughly 15 years. His departure marks the end of a long tenure in the role. The event will serve as both a welcome for Kugelmeier and a farewell for Schneider. Media representatives planning to attend must register beforehand. They can do so by emailing [email protected] or calling +49 261 103-50021 or -22.

The ceremony will confirm Kugelmeier's new position and acknowledge Schneider's contributions. The transition follows established procedures, with media access arranged through official channels. The event is set for late February 2026.
