Bhutan stands with India after deadly Delhi blast in moving prayer ceremony

Thousands of Bhutanese people, led by their King Druk Gyalpo, gathered at Changlimethang Stadium in Thimphu to offer prayers for the victims of the recent Delhi blast. The event was a show of solidarity with India, following the tragic car bomb attack near Delhi's Red Fort Metro Station that claimed at least eight lives and injured many more.

During his visit to Bhutan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the gathering, expressing his gratitude for the outpouring of support from the Bhutanese people. He assured them that the perpetrators of the Delhi blast would be brought to justice, vowing stern action against the conspirators. Despite no group claiming responsibility yet, Modi's commitment to finding those responsible was clear.

The Bhutanese leadership, in turn, conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims. King Druk Gyalpo joined his people in the prayer ceremony, demonstrating the strong bond between the two nations.

The prayer ceremony in Thimphu served as a poignant reminder of the close ties between Bhutan and India. Modi's visit to Bhutan following the blast underscored the importance of this relationship, with both nations standing united in the face of such tragedy. The search for those responsible continues, with Modi's promise of justice echoing the resolve of the Bhutanese people in their support.
