Bielefeld braces for dual demonstrations on May 24, 2025
Bielefeld city centre will see two separate demonstrations on May 24, 2025. Police are preparing for a rally with around 200 participants and a vigil expecting about 500 attendees. Both events will take place between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, with temporary roadblocks and traffic controls in place.
The rally, organised as a march, will run from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. At the same time, a vigil titled Against Hate and Incitement in Bielefeld! will also be held. Police have confirmed that neither event will disrupt public viewing areas for the cup final or promotion celebrations.
The demonstrations will conclude by 4:00 PM, with police overseeing the entire process. Traffic and public movement should return to normal once the events end. Further updates will be provided through official police channels if needed.
