Bihar Polls: CPI (ML) Demands Seat Distribution, BJP Releases First List
With just three days left for the nomination deadline for the first phase of Bihar polls, CPI (ML) general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya has called for the declaration of seat distribution among Mahagathbandhan partners. Meanwhile, BJP has released its first list of 71 candidates for the assembly elections.
The CPI (ML) has fielded 18 candidates for the upcoming elections, including Shivprakash Ranjan from Agiaon and Madan Singh Chandravanshi from Tarari. Other candidates include Kayamuddin Ansari, Ajit Kumar Singh alias Ajit Kushwaha, Arun Singh, Mahanand Singh, Rambali Singh Yadav, Sandeep Saurabh, Gopal Ravidas, and Divya Gautam.
BJP and JD(U) will contest 101 seats each in the elections. The last day of filing nominations for the first phase is October 17. Mahagathbandhan comprises the Rashtriya Janata Dal, Congress, Vikasheel Insaan Party, and Left-Wing parties.
As the Bihar assembly elections approach, political parties are finalizing their candidates and seat distributions. The CPI (ML) has urged for prompt decision-making, while BJP has already announced its first list of candidates.
