Blow Tissues reinvents the humble tissue box with sustainability in mind
A new tissue brand is aiming to cut down on waste and simplify household shopping. Blow Tissues, founded by Kansas entrepreneur Ariel Westphal, offers a refillable system with a stylish reusable box and bamboo-based tissues. The subscription model targets both sustainability and convenience for everyday users.
Westphal created Blow Tissues after growing frustrated with flimsy, unattractive tissue boxes. Her solution combines a clear, design-grade container with five-ply bamboo tissues infused with lotion. Each sheet is about 20 percent larger than standard options and free from PFAS chemicals.
The starter Blow Kit costs $32 and includes the reusable box, two 90-sheet refills, and a cleaning cloth. Subscribers can then order refills for $15 (two packs) or $24 (four packs), with free shipping every month or two. Future plans include seasonal colours and limited-edition box designs to match home decor. Traditional tissue boxes rarely get recycled due to their thin, non-corrugated cardboard. Blow Tissues addresses this by reducing packaging waste through its refill system. The brand has already gained attention, including a shoutout from Spanx founder Sara Blakely on Instagram.
Blow Tissues enters the market with a focus on sustainability and aesthetics. The subscription service aims to minimise household waste while offering a premium product. Customers can now order the starter kit or refills directly through the brand’s website.
