BN Sabah expands candidate lineup ahead of November state election
Barisan Nasional (BN) in Sabah has unveiled a diverse and comprehensive lineup for the upcoming state election, aiming to bolster political stability and foster inclusive development. The coalition will contest 45 seats, with four additional candidates joining the fray.
The Election Commission has scheduled the nomination for November 16, early voting for November 25, and polling for November 29. BN's decision to contest additional seats comes after careful review and detailed consultations.
BN chairman Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin sees this move as a means to fortify the coalition's leadership and prepare for the polls. The four new candidates are Willey Lampaki (Bandau), Rahmah Jan Sulaiman (Kemabong), Datuk Chin Kim Hiung (Karamunting), and Chaya Sulaiman (Kukusan). They join other parties such as Pakatan Harapan, Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), Warisan, and United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (UPKO) in the race for the 17th Sabah state election.
BN's expanded lineup, with a focus on balanced and inclusive representation, reflects the coalition's commitment to addressing the needs of Sabah's people and its political dynamics. The additional candidates bring fresh perspectives and strengthen BN's resolve as it heads into the election.
