Body discovered after deadly fire in abandoned Berlin industrial site

A body was found after a fire started in an abandoned industrial building in Berlin’s Oberschöneweide district. Emergency services were alerted early in the morning near Wuhlheide S-Bahn station. The victim’s identity remains unknown at this time.

Firefighters arrived at the scene to extinguish the blaze inside the derelict structure. They quickly put out burning rubbish and a mattress before discovering the lifeless body. Initial reports suggested the deceased might have been homeless, though their gender has not been confirmed.
