The trial, which began on April 10, 2025, and concluded on June 5, 2025, saw nine individuals sentenced for their roles in the incident. The sentences ranged from 1.5 years for a minor to 23 years for Abzal Shynasyl.

The family's home was rebuilt with the support of an anonymous donor and a Kazakhstani charitable foundation. The local administration of Almaty Region oversaw the construction process. The rebuild was completed despite the family not knowing who carried out the repairs. An appeals court upheld the verdict on August 19.
