Borsky Bridge Delays: Subcontractor's Identity Remains Unknown
The reconstruction of the old Borsky Bridge, initially slated for completion in November 2025, has faced delays due to a work stoppage in May. The subcontractor who stepped in after the halt has not been publicly identified.
The project, initiated in 2024 under the 'Safe and Quality Roads' national project and continued in 2025 as part of the 'Infrastructure for Life' initiative, encountered issues with the general contractor. This led to a temporary halt and the involvement of a subcontractor, whose identity remains undisclosed.
The delay has resulted in manual traffic management on the bridge. Drivers are advised to follow traffic police instructions and adhere to speed limits. Lane reversals are also being operated manually until the remote control system is repaired. Despite these setbacks, the opening of the bridge’s second lane is still scheduled for December 2025. The total contract value for the reconstruction stands at 2.4 billion rubles.
The Borsky Bridge reconstruction, despite facing delays and temporary manual traffic management, is on track to open its second lane in December 2025. The identity of the subcontractor who stepped in remains unknown, and the project's total cost is 2.4 billion rubles.
