Bottrop’s Mayor Honored for Decades of Public Service and Crisis Leadership
Bottrop's Mayor, Karen Alexius-Eifert, has been recognised for her exceptional service. She received a commemorative certificate from Mayor Bernd Tischler, highlighting her dedication, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine.
Alexius-Eifert began her career in 1990 as a trainee municipal inspector. She has since held various roles, including deputy head and head of the Social Security Office. Her commitment to Bottrop's citizens has been consistently praised.
Since July 2022, she has served as the executive councilor for Education and Social Affairs. Her portfolio includes the Department of Schools and Childcare, Social Security Office, Youth Welfare Office, Job Center, and Migration Division. Recently, she celebrated her silver service anniversary as a certified public administrator.
Alexius-Eifert's dedication and leadership have been vital to Bottrop's city administration. Her recognition is a testament to her outstanding service, particularly during challenging times.
