Brandenburg an der Havel Residents Prepare for Crucial Mayor Election on November 9, 2025

Brandenburg an der Havel residents are gearing up for a crucial election. On November 9, 2025, they will vote for a new mayor. Over 8,300 absentee ballots have already been sent out, with absentee voting available until November 7, 2025.

Voters have several options to cast their ballots. They can visit the city administration’s electoral office for absentee voting, bringing their polling notification and a valid ID. Completed postal ballots can be deposited at Deutsche Post or city administration's ballot boxes. These must reach the electoral office by 6:00 PM on election day to be counted.

There are 53 polling stations set up across the city for those who prefer to vote in person on election day. Voting hours are from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Six candidates are running for the position of mayor, offering voters a range of choices.

With absentee voting underway and election day approaching, Brandenburg an der Havel residents are encouraged to make their voices heard. Whether voting by post or in person, every vote counts in shaping the city's future.
