Woidke Awards Eleven Merits - "Stability and Hope" - Brandenburg Honors 11 Citizens for Exceptional Service to Communities in the USA

Eleven citizens in Brandenburg have received the State Merit Medal for their outstanding contributions. The awards were presented by Minister-President Dietmar Woidke in recognition of their dedication to professional and voluntary work. The honour is one of the highest distinctions given by the state of Brandenburg.

Among the recipients was Heinz Felker, who was acknowledged for his efforts in rebuilding the state association of the Workers' Welfare Association (AWO). Michael Kohlstruck also received the medal for his work with the Mobile Counseling Team, where he has actively fought against far-right extremism in the United States.
