Police Seek Witnesses After Burglary
Brazen daytime burglary in Peine leaves homeowners robbed of valuables
PEINE. Unknown assailants broke into a detached house on Herrenfeldstraße on Thursday afternoon. The incident occurred between 5:00 and 5:30 p.m., when the intruders forced their way inside through a window.
The burglars stole jewelry estimated to be worth several thousand euros. The Salzgitter/Peine/Wolfenbüttel police precinct conducted a forensic search at the scene in an effort to gather evidence, according to a police statement.
