Bremerhaven Brawl: Family Feud Leaves Brothers Injured
A violent altercation between members of two feuding families left two brothers with minor injuries at a waste recycling facility in Bremerhaven on Friday afternoon. Police are investigating charges of aggravated assault after seizing weapons used in the attack.
The incident, which occurred around 2 p.m., involved a dispute stemming from a romantic relationship gone sour between members of the two families. The confrontation escalated when one party, a 40-year-old father and his 19-year-old son, assaulted the other, two brothers aged 25 and 26, with a metal grabber and a chain. The altercation was brief, with both parties retreating to their vehicles before police arrived.
The victims sustained minor injuries but did not require medical treatment. The suspects were confrontational and uncooperative with police. Despite an extensive search, police have not yet identified the suspects involved in the assault.
Police are continuing their investigation into the incident and have seized the weapons used in the assault. Aggravated assault charges are being considered. The identities of the suspects remain unknown, and anyone with information is urged to contact local law enforcement.
