Britz Street Racing Incident: Man Attacked, Drivers Confiscated
Last night, a dangerous street racing incident occurred in Britz. A 47-year-old man was repeatedly blocked and attacked before the illegal race, which involved a female driver and himself. The incident was reported to the police and is now under investigation by a specialized traffic crime unit.
The incident began when the 47-year-old male driver was repeatedly cut off and brake-checked by another driver, later identified as a 48-year-old woman. The harassment escalated into a street race through the Britz tunnel around 7 PM, with both drivers speeding and revving their engines.
An eyewitness, concerned for public safety, called the emergency services. Police arrived and ordered both drivers to exit the federal highway at the Tempelhof exit for a check. The drivers were allowed to leave the scene on foot, but not before their licenses and cars were confiscated. The identities of both drivers were confirmed by police, but the perpetrator who initially blocked and attacked the 47-year-old man remains unidentified.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing, handled by a specialized traffic crime unit in the West district. The reckless behavior of the drivers put public safety at risk, and authorities are taking the matter seriously. Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
