A court in Budgam has ordered the seizure of two land parcels linked to a declared offender accused of separatist activities. The move comes as part of strict legal action under anti-terror laws. Authorities have described it as a firm step against those promoting divisive ideologies.

The accused, identified as Mohammad Sultan, was previously declared a proclaimed offender by a competent court. He stands accused of spreading propaganda aimed at undermining national sovereignty. Court records confirm that the disputed properties—plots 466 and 343 in Budgam district—were registered in his name before seizure.

The court’s order covers one kanal and two marlas of land in Wadwan village (Survey No. 466) and 11 marlas in Chattabugh village (Survey No. 343). The ruling was issued under Sections 10, 13, and 39 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), along with Section 83 of the Criminal Procedure Code. Budgam Police have stressed that the action aligns with legal procedures against individuals involved in separatist activities. The case reflects ongoing efforts to counter threats to national integrity through judicial and law enforcement measures.
