Buffalo Approves Major Road Upgrades in 2027 WYDOT Partnership
Buffalo's City Council has approved a significant road improvement plan. The Cooperative Agreement with the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) will see a Pavement Overlay Project commence in 2027, with specific streets yet to be publicly disclosed.
The project, set for 2027, offers ample time for the city to prepare the selected streets. While the specific roads have not been revealed, City Public Works Director Kevin Silbernagel has provided details on the agreement. The WYDOT project will be integrated with the city's chip seal projects, enabling more streets to be resurfaced at a reduced cost. This collaborative approach aims to enhance Buffalo's road infrastructure efficiently.
The City Council has given the green light for Mayor Shane Schrader to sign the agreement, marking a step forward in Buffalo's road improvement plans. The 2027 Pavement Overlay Project, once implemented, will bring enhanced road surfaces to selected streets, benefiting both residents and visitors.
