Bundestag secures long-term funding for Deutschlandticket until 2030

The Bundestag has secured the financial future of the Deutschlandticket, approving long-term funding until 2030. The governing coalition of CDU/CSU and SPD voted in favour of the bill, while the AfD and the Left Party opposed it. Notably, the Greens abstained from voting.

The 14th amendment to the Regionalization Act locks in the subsidy for the Deutschlandticket, ensuring its financial stability from 2026 onwards. Despite the Greens' abstention, the bill passed with the support of the governing coalition. A political advisor, whose name was not explicitly mentioned in the search results, initially proposed the long-term financing plan for the Deutschlandticket through 2030.

With the Bundestag's approval, the Deutschlandticket's financial future is now secure until 2030. The 14th amendment to the Regionalization Act guarantees the subsidy, putting to rest any uncertainty about the ticket's funding.
