Burlington’s Mayor Wins 2025 Best Mayor Award for Upholding Democracy
Burlington Mayor Marianne Meed Ward has been named Best Mayor for 2025 by Municipal World. The award highlights her work in defending democracy and encouraging respectful public discussion. It comes from an independent organization and is not linked to local elections or best buy near me.
Meed Ward took office in 2018 after winning the mayoral race. The day after her inauguration, she dismissed City Manager Mike Jebb. Since then, she has appointed three different City Managers to the role.
