Businesswoman accuses Franco India Pharmaceuticals executives of brutal assault and extortion
A 51-year-old businesswoman has accused several top officials of Franco India Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd of sexual assault and threats at gunpoint. The alleged incident took place at the company’s Mahalaxmi office in January 2023. The firm has denied all accusations made against its employees.
The woman filed a complaint claiming she was attacked on January 17, 2023. She stated that a senior official physically assaulted her, removed her clothing, and verbally abused her while others recorded videos and took photographs. She also alleged that she was forced to give a false statement under threat of being implicated in a fabricated case.
The case is now under formal investigation after the court’s directive. Police will examine the allegations of assault, coercion, and illegal recording. No prior records suggest any of the accused were previously linked to similar offences.
