Buxtehude hit by two break-ins as police probe possible links
Stade (ots)
On Thursday between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM, a single-family home in Hasenkamp was broken into. The perpetrator or perpetrators used a garden chair to reach a rear window, prying it open to gain entry. The rooms were ransacked, and jewelry along with other valuables were stolen. A neighbor reported seeing three young men on the property around 10:30 AM. Police are now investigating whether they may be connected to the crime. The crime scene unit from Stade conducted evidence collection and forensic analysis.
In Bebelstraße, a woman discovered early Friday evening that unknown individuals had forced the exterior roller shutters on her terrace out of their tracks. Fortunately, the intruders did not succeed in entering the building. It remains unclear whether they were disturbed or abandoned their plan due to the increased difficulty.
Anyone with information about either incident is asked to contact the Buxtehude police station.
